The library is now open by appointment for Grab and Go Service and Computer Access. Grab and Go appointments are for 1 hour to browse materials and use self-checkout, copy or fax (without computer access), and shop the Friends lobby sales.
Grab and Go reservations (PDF) are available at all five libraries and may be scheduled online. Computer access appointments (PDF) are for 2 hours and may be reserved by calling the library.
Patrons may return items to the library, pickup holds, make grab and go reservations, make computer appointments, and request a book bundle.
Book drops are open and returned items are quarantined for 72 hours. Items will still show on your account during the quarantine and holds fulfillment will also be delayed. Having the item(s) remain on your account will not impact your ability to check out additional items. All items will check out for 3 weeks.
New library card processing takes 2-3 days from the time you apply online, and you will be contacted regarding your application.
Holds may be placed and picked up porch side. See procedures and times here (PDF). You may also learn how to place holds on the library blog PlanoLibraryLearns.org.
Currently, access to digital resources is provided even if your account has overdue items. See FAQs (PDF) for more library information.
Book Bundles are available in English and Spanish at all five libraries and in Chinese at Davis and Haggard. Discover new series, new authors, and great readings with pre-selected titles.
Check the calendar for a list of virtual programs.
