All libraries and book drops will be closed May 26 and 27 in observance of Memorial Day. Online resources and eLibrary will be available.

Teen Street Team Open House

Teens and parents – Come to the Teen Street Team open house Tuesday, May 28 – 6:30 pm at Haggard Library. Find out what is required to join, pick up an application, talk to current members and learn about the group.

Teen Street Team is Plano Public Library’s teen advisory board.

Summer Learning Kickoff

On Saturday, June 1 start your Summer Learning at Plano Public Library. Visit a library (or all five!) and spark your curiosity. Plan how you're going to expand your mind this summer. Featuring face painting, balloon artists, games and activities.

2019 Summer Programs and Classes at the Library

This summer be a space explorer at the library and learn more about our galaxy. Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing by making a UFO, exploring black holes, creating a nebula, embroidering a constellation and finding the missing spaceship.

Readers & Waggers

Practice your reading skills by reading to a Heart of Texas Therapy dog. Bring your favorite book from home or choose one from the library. Details in Engage on page 14.

The Lounge at Schimelpfenig and Haggard

Share your writing, artwork and other forms of self-expression during monthly conversations with different themes and formats. Afternoon sessions (ages 55+) are at Haggard Library and evening sessions (adults) take place at Schimelpfenig.

Friends Book Sale

Come to the Friends annual Book Sale July 25-27 at the Plano Event Center and support the library. There will be nearly 100,000 gently used items for sale; most priced $2 or less.

Items for sale include hardbacks, paperbacks, CDs, DVDs, records, and audiobooks. Friends’ members get 10% off all book sale purchases.
